Transforming a Community

In 2016, Priority joined with Dhat Stone, Bay Area Tutoring/Coding for Kids, and the Silicon Valley Black Chamber of Commerce to offer We Are Code, a program with a mission to create educational competitions for at-risk youth so they may someday join and compete with top ranking tech leaders to become industry experts and successful entrepreneurs.  The mission is the first of its kind to feature Hackathons and a TechLab serving Compton.

Coding Bootcamp/High Tech Learning Academy

Dhat Stone High Tech Learning Academy is a hands-on lab for young urban minority students.  Coding classes teach disadvantaged youth how to write mobile applications and games in basic, and JavaScript computer languages. Their website is www.dhatstoneacademy.org

Hackathon

Dhat Stone & Priority answered the call to help children with the Coding Camp Kickoff in February 2016.  The initiative was the first in Compton to offers of an intensive challenge for young residents to build mobile applications and websites to help their communities.
